Inquiry

Matthew  "how do I look"

Mum and Dad  "you can't go out looking like that!"

Matthew "ok I will change if I don't have to do my chores"

Reading

I chose this quote because if you do something over and over again you are used to it. but if it challenges you will learn to do it differently.

Maths

these are angles. There are many different angles here are some examples

I'm saying obtuse and an acute angle on my person. that is my estimation.

The acute angle is 90 or less I got 135 degrees so that is an obtuse angle

The obtuse angle is more than 90 but less than 180 degrees

There were 80 people at a restaurant one evening.40% of the customers were female. How many were female?

I did 80x40=3200 then I divided it by 100. there were 32 females at the restaurant.

report writing

we are learning about report writing. I did it on trampolining

What will you do without flipping jumping and exercise I'll know I will be lost.  Who made the first trampoline
George Nissen made the first ever trampoline in 1936.
Irina karavaeva won the first women's single of trampoline in 2000, and Alex moskalenko won the first Olympic singles in man's in 2000. Trampolines are used Flip's exercise fun and games. Trampolines are quite dangerous because you can break your neck or break any part in your body (that you can break.) do you know 10 minutes on a trampoline is worth 30 minutes of running. A normal trampoline normally has 110-120 springs. Trampoliners were socks or special shoes they don't have bare feet. Synchronised trampolining was introduced into the world champions in 1966 As well as the frame of the trampoline being padded, there are also 2 end decks at the end of each trampoline which are also padded.A minimum of 4 spotters stand around the trampoline during the routine to prevent accidents.

tech challange

My group is Harry, Jacob, Max and Seamus

Purpose: We have been investigating innovators and innovation. We have discovered that innovators have special traits that help them to be leaders in their fields. We also discovered that we share many of the same traits. We had 20 minutes to build the tallest tower made of pasta and marshmallows. We identified creative and challenging because we made a triangle shape no other groups did it. And we challenged each other to make it better. I think I share determined, creative, hard working and problem-solving. (Our group would have come 2nd if ours didn't fall over at the end just before Mrs. Ellmore measured it.)
I think next time we should try different ones.

Another one

Imagine another class here at HNI has not played this game before. Complete the rules below to clearly describe the aim of the game and exactly what the rules are.
An aim of the game:
Rules:
  1. Sit down no stand
  2. Try not to hurt anyone
  3. The ball can’t go high
  4. Try not to score
  5. Get the other team points

Game Adaptations
Use your creative thinking to explore possible adaptations to this game to enhance both the fun factor and the ability to win the game. I have given you one example for each category but challenge yourself with other ideas and thinking.

Attack
Defence
Game Plan/Strategy
  • Use balls other than netballs that aren’t as heavy so the speed of the traveling ball also speeds up the game.
  • 4 players from each quad are allowed to sit on the bleachers to stretch with their arms and intercept flying balls.
  • People on the perimeter of the quad pass the ball to someone closer to the bleachers to allow them to throw it further into the opponent's area.

Attack
Defence
Game Plan/Strategy
Each 4 quarters have a ball the aim of the game is to throw the ball and get it out as fast as you can
If a ball comes in your square get out as fast as you can and watch the balls at all times
catch the ball and throw away as fast as posable and try not to hurt anyone

I am from

Poem
I am from down the lonely road.
From The little house under the tree.
My dads truck waking me up.
From the smell of grapes in the frosty air.
I am from white tails on the walls.
I am from Handy mandy after parent and child.
From Playing tag with my brother.
I am from waking up in a different house.

I am from roasts on sundays.
gardening on saturdays.
From swimming everyday.
Racing to the christmas presents

I am from waking up at 6 o’clock every day.
from catching the bus in the frosty air.
I am from meeting my friends at sheppard court yard.
from playing in on the field.
